Sara and I met three years ago in the hospital after the birth of her beautiful child. We spent many hours together talking about my up coming wedding. I told Sara how I wanted to look my best and wear an amazing dress on my wedding day.

I’ve always been on the heavy side all my life and after having child I felt I just couldn’t get my pre- baby body back. Sara started coaching me on her eating plan, not a diet but a new clean way of eating. By eliminating refine sugars and processed foods I was amazed at how quickly the pounds came off. My stomach wasn’t bloated and I didn’t feel sluggish after eating.

Several months later I met my goal weight and had to buy all new cloths for my honeymoon. I felt beautiful on my wedding day and have continued to lose wt.

Sara has taught me her plan isn’t a diet but a lifestyle that has changed my way of thinking.

A year and a half ago I underwent quadruple bypass heart surgery due to two arties being 90% clogged.  Doctors claim that my cholesterol was “off the charts” due to multiple factors, those being lack of exercise, a fatty diet, non-use of prescribed medications and a genetic pre-disposition to high cholesterol.  The operation was a huge success however; it was only the beginning.  I needed to follow a more stringent diet, exercise and take the required medication.

 

I, like many, are faced with the dilemma of “doing the right thing” amid being surrounded by a stressful, active lifestyle consisting of business entertaining, extensive travel and an active social calendar.  Then I met Sara Wolf, who helped me take on the diet component and outlined me a simple, yet highly effective nutrition plan that literally changed my poor habits in a matter of a few short weeks.

 

Sara got into the kitchen with me and showed me what to eat, when to eat it and how to prepare each meal.  The meals were quick and easy to prepare and I found myself excited to have only these 10 or so basic items around my apartment to choose from because I new that I could safely eat any of them at any time with no confusion.  The foods are all whole-foods that taste amazing.  I am eating lean beef, chicken, fish, brown rice and brown rice pasta, vegetables etc.

 

In just a few short months, I lost nearly 20lbs, much of it fat and was never hungry nor did I ever feel deprived.  It was a boost to my self-esteem also as many of my friends and associates who hadn’t seen me in a while commented on how great I looked!  My clothes all started to fit nicely and I was wearing things in my closet that I never dreamed I’d ever wear again.  A great feeling, I assure you.  In addition, my cholesterol is at record lows and I have added energy to work out more often and keep myself fit.

 

I owe much to Sara for caring enough about me personally to want to help guide me.  I am forever grateful to her and feel she is a wonderful professional who knows her business quite well.

Thank you so much for sharing your amazing DIET with my sister, Rita. When she first talked about the diet, I thought – not for me. It sounded too restrictive. But I was wrong….
I knew I needed to lose weight. Weight Watchers had always worked for me. I always lost the weight, but I felt deprived. Within a month or so of reaching my goal weight, I would start to gain the weight back and the cycle would start all over again. I was depressed just thinking about it.
Well, I decided to try the “Sarah Diet” for what I thought would be a week. I couldn’t believe all the food I could eat – Breakfast always consists of egg beaters with combinations consisting of artichoke hearts, mushrooms, onions, peppers and spinach. I usually have two rice cakes with olive oil drizzled on them. Lunch consists of granny smith apple slices with non fat plain greek yogurt with nu-stavia and a good amount of cinnamon sprinkled in. For dinner – brown rice pasta with veggies or sauce w/meat, brown rice combos, and big salads with chicken or steak. The fact that everything can be prepared with olive oil is what makes it so satisfying. And lots of veggies at every meal. We toss the veggies in olive oil and roast them.
Needless to say, here I am nine months later and 34 pounds lighter. I weigh less than I did in high school! I feel great! I am still on the diet and the best part of it is that it does not feel like being on a diet. Since reaching my goal weight, I have added different fruits and occasional popcorn to the diet.

Dinner:
– Stuffed peppers – stuffed w/brown rice, ground turkey, onions, mushrooms, peppers and marinara sauce.
– Rice pasta sautéed w/broccoli, chicken, garlic and olive oil.
– Rice pasta w/sauce (Victoria brand we like the best) and crumbled ground beef or ground turkey.
– Brown rice pasta w/chicken and artichokes.
– Brown rice w/chicken, mushrooms, peppers, artichokes and chicken broth.
– Fish baked with a light coating of brown rice flour.
– Salads with a variety of lettuce/spinach with chicken or beef, artichokes, onions, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers.
– Chicken, steak or pork tenderloin on the grill.

Veggies:
– Butternut squash cubed and tossed in olive oil and roasted until the cubes are golden brown.
– Veggies tossed in olive oil and roasted or grilled.

Lunch:
– Granny Smith apple and non fat greek plain yogurt with cinnamon and nu-stavia.
– Salads.
– grapefruit

Breakfast:
– Egg beaters with all kinds of veggie combos.

Drink: homemade lemonade and tea w/cinnamon & nu-stavia.

Treats: plain yogurt smoothies w/frozen strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, milk and nu-stavia in the blender.

Hey Sara,

It’s been some time since I’ve seen you, but you’re always in my thoughts, especially when those around me can’t say enough about my transformation. They want to know my secret! They ask if I am at the gym 24 hours a day, or if I’m eating nothing but salads. I’m always met with surprise as I explain what I eat and that the gym has taken a back seat in my life for the first time in years.

I hired trainers for years and saw very little change in my physique. I was always craving sugary foods and never felt satisfied after indulging. I couldn’t figure out why everything I tried failed after 2 weeks.

When I met you Sara, I was a little nervous about having the right foods in my house to meet your diet restrictions. You then put me at ease when you suggested we go grocery shopping together. You then offered to cook the food yourself, so I wouldn’t have to worry that it met your requirements. This was a little unnerving since you were a guest in my house.

You answered all my questions, as to why you chose the foods you did, and then proceeded to prepare and cook several meals.  This is where the fun started. I tasted everything and thought it tasted great! The thing that probably surprised me most was the amount of olive oil you used when preparing the meals. I also noticed you didn’t measure a single thing.

I thought this might be an expensive way to eat as the majority of foods were organic or sold in the health food section of the grocery store.  I soon realized that without buying all the prepackaged and processed foods that used to fill my cart, it was actually cheaper.

When my husband, rob tasted the meals and raved about how delicious they were, I started thinking I would like to try eating this way. The rest is history…

It has been four months since you introduced me to this healthy way of eating which has become a way of life for me now. I am down to 112 lbs from 133 lbs!!!  I feel great! I no longer crave sugar and don’t think about food 24/7 like I used to. I eat to live instead of living to eat! I no longer feel like a slave to food. I feel more in control then I ever have before. I don’t feel like I need a nap every day at 3 p.m, and I don’t eat mindlessly.

My friends and family often ask me how I do this and although I try to explain…nothing could compare to the personal attention you gave to me. You didn’t just throw me into this and expect me to figure it out. You walked me through the reasons behind the choice of foods and then showed me ways to prepare meals that would save me time and keep me always prepared and on track.

You are so sweet and kind and I will forever be grateful for the gift you have given me. I feel proud of my accomplishment and feel inspired to share my success story! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me this gift!
